How can we improve our web site?  E-mail the webmaster.

Q: ArrowTop How is eTelemet different from other web services?
A: Unlike other Internet stock quote providers and websites, eTelemet uses a separate set of windows to manage your portfolio. Simply put, this is not a browser-based application. This allows the user to peruse the Internet at will, without affecting the eTelemet window(s). No more waiting for HTML, JAVA or CGI scripts to load. Telemet believes this to be an advantage, we're sure you will to.
Q: ArrowTop How is eTelemet delivered?
A: The use of satellite and Internet standards allow Telemet to provide dynamic (continuous) updates in real-time or on a delayed basis.
Q: ArrowTop Can I get real-time data or is the data delayed?
A: The eTelemet system is designed to allow a user to subscribe to either real-time or delayed quotes. The three classes of rates offered by most US exchanges are; real-time data for professional investors, real-time for non-professionals, and delayed quotes. For those customers that select real-time exchange data, signed exchange agreements must be submitted to Telemet. Applicable monthly fees are added to the basic service fee. Market indices and news services are real-time, regardless of whether the user selects real-time or delayed quotes.
Q: ArrowTop What are the requirements for getting started?
A: Telemet recommends the following components:
  • Hardware: Telemet recommends a Pentium 100 processor with 32 megs of RAM, especially if you will be running other applications at the same time.
  • Operating System: Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 98 or NT 4.0.
  • Browser: Internet Explorer 3.0 (or higher) or Netscape 3.0 (or higher) recommended.
  • Connection: Internet connection through a dial-up service or a permanent, continuous connection from an ISP (Internet Service Provider). For dial-up access, a 28.8 modem is recommended.
Q: ArrowTop Can I use any ISP (Internet Service Provider)?
A: Yes. Any Internet connection through a dial-up service or a permanent, continuous connection from an ISP is acceptable. The dial-up connection can be made through any ISP that provides for TCP/IP protocol through a Winsock connection.
Q: ArrowTop How long does it take to load eTelemet?
A: The eTelemet file (setupex.exe) is 4.65 MB in size. The load time depends on your connection to the Internet, your modem speed, etc. Download time with a 56K modem is approximately 15-20 minutes.
Q: ArrowTop Whom do I contact for assistance if I don’t understand how to interpret a given display?
A: Please first refer to the HELP pages located on the menu bar of the eTelemet program. If you need further clarification, please E-Mail us at training@taquote.com.
Q: ArrowTop Whom do I contact if I can't gain access to the service after loading my registration # and user ID?
A: Please send us an E-Mail at netaccounts@taquote.com.
